Did you know that lung cancer is leading cause of death (21% of all cancer deaths are lung cancer)!! Yet is the most underfunded as well!!!
The average age of diagnosis is 70 (Screening doesn't start until you are age 50 and have smoked). If you have never smoked you don't qualify for early screening.
About 238,340 new cases of lung cancer (117,550 in men and 120,790 in women)
Nearly half of all newly diagnosed will be at a later stage!!
About 127,070 deaths from lung cancer (67,160 in men and 59,910 in women)
